Tension came and went, the word re-formed. 'That we all felt jealous of.' The words spoken, hurt not in her mindset, introspection clearly present. 'And she ended up with you?' A ghost of a smile stirred, the mask fractured with home time beckoning. 'Lucky me I guess.' His footsteps fell, fingers punched in a code engrained, the door to the back of the store opened wide. He found his coat and drew it up tightly based on the water droplets scattered and coagulating on the shiny waterproof fabrics worn by those still entering the store. To love or be loved is a short story based around the themes of love, loss, hope and the power of faith.
