Amanda Lockwood is younger than her half brother Tyler Lockwood by one year and six months. Amanda was always happy and smiling and very talkative when it's about something she's passionate about. But that all changed when her best friend who was also her first loved died right in front of her. Now Amanda spends her days absolutely quiet not uttering a word only keeping to herself and occassionally interacting with her brother and her golden retriver stormy. When the Salvatore brother's came to town they immediately felt protective over the young Lockwood so they treat her like their sister. When they learn of the sacrifice of the petrova doppleganger they immediately send Amanda off to Rome with her dog and an already prepared safe house so she will be far away from everything that is happening in Mystic Falls. But one day when Amanda is feeling very homesick she decides to go back without a word of warning shocking everyone but they are glad to have her back and whatever is thrown their way they will protect her at all cost.
