At Triwood Academy, anyone can become a target.

Janet's spent her entire high school career trying to avoid being one. She lives a secluded life, lonely and forgotten - until she becomes inexplicably linked to Thomas, the transfer student whose past means he's adored and idolized by the student body to the point of danger. His transfer back to Triwood threatens to upend the careful social order established by the Association.

For the elite student government that promises to deal with anyone who threatens the stability of the school, Thomas is a problem that needs to be taken care of, quietly and quickly.

And the Association has decided that Janet is the perfect candidate to handle him.
