A teenage girl with low self-confidence and dysfunctional family begins a school year that will change her life. When her step sister, Sam, begins to get physical and abuse drugs, Ellie needs some one to talk to, but no one's around in her head. But, one day, when Ellie looks herself in the mirror and unfiltered determination seeps through the cuts, and she wants to get better. The journey Ellie needs to take, to learn to lover herself, and help others around her, is a journey she realizes that's she's already started, and she can't stop until it's over.
