The dark is something we're told to avoid from the moment we're born. But is the dark always all that bad? Half breeds between dark and light creatures aren't a common occurrence, but when they happen, they're shunned for their entire lives, and often driven to suicide. Lance puts up a cheery and excitable exterior, to conceal the terrified, hurt and depressed boy that hides within him. He seems like the luckiest kid in the world, but look beneath and you will see a broken man. His father murdered and his family hiding their blood, Lance can't let anyone see the real him. Keith is horrified by the world. Broken, mistreated and distrusting from the day he was born, he struggles through life, keeping only his older brother Shiro close.
