Prologue

'Alpha John,

They are after us. All we wish is that you raise her and make sure she never finds us (her true parents) for if she does, she will be met with the battle of her life. We are very grateful for you as we know how hard it must be for you to look after the one thing your kind is supposed to despise the most, a vampire. Leaving our only daughter is difficult but we trust you. You may not know us but we know you and that's all that matters.

I looked at the note with my mouth hung wide open. I looked towards the baby once again and I just couldn't help the feeling I got when I looked at her. She looked so lost, so helpless. I know she's a vampire but she's only 5 months old.
