Chapter One

"So I'm just a goofball? I'll show them that they're wrong." Lance McClain is someone perceived as a goofball. He changes quickly and effectively, being silent and expressionless. He closes himself off to everyone but Coran and the lions. He forces himself to look past his injuries and emotions so that everything is going to be fine.

"So now I matter? Where was all of this before? I get hurt and now you act like I matter?" Maybe they should've said something before. "Why do I matter now?"
