"So, if we hadn't run into each other, then you'd have gone home and I wouldn't have known you were here. Why, Liza? Why has it always been different between you and me?" Grace asked softly.

"Grace, I can't get into this right now," Liza pleaded.

Grace turned sideways to face Liza. "Guess what? It's happening right now. One day, everything was fine and then you were gone. I seemed to be the only one who didn't understand. Nobody had any answers for me. Well, I want those answers now, Liza. I feel like I deserve them."
