4 supernatural and 3 hunters were chosen for one job to do when the world went to hell. Protect the kid and that's what they planned to do. No one was getting in the way of staying with this group of humans are what they have to do to keep him save then so be it. Daryl Dixon and Annie May were there assignment and nothing would get in there way.
