After a plague decreases the world's poplulation, people are forced to live in quarantine by the government, even if they are healthy. This brought many people to a small part of the inhabited part of what used to be the United States.
Alexander Lightwood, the son of the President visits quarantine every once in a while, and that's where our story begins.
