I'm that one exception.
Being born different, yet normal was not a gift. Human, how could I, someone who had beta blood run through their veins be born human. Lucky enough my parents were gifted before me with a older brother. A brother who bullied me in school, conforming to the other animals. I guess blood does not run thicker than water. I was brought into a world, into a pack who could not stand me. A mother who honestly loves me, but never stood up for me. A father who couldn't look at me, because I brought shame. When high school finally ended I breathed freedom. But with every happiness I gain, something always ruins it. Ace. Destiny oddly paired me up with a mate. I don't understand how I can have a mate, just like I don't understand how I have some qualities of a wolf. But I thought I didn't need to worry about that when I moved from home into the human world. Though that all changed with one phone call.
“You do this Riley, and your free from us forever.” How can I turn something like that down. Spending the summer where my childhood was ruined isn't ideal. But I will do anything to finally get ride of the wolf side of me. To drop from their world. But things never go as planned. Ace made sure of that.

He laughed, throwing his head back. “You children, never seem to surprise me.” I grunted, not getting what was funny. “Can we just move on to what we need to discuss.” I said sitting up straighter. Kent smiled, shaking his head, “Foreplay.” I brought my eyebrows in, “Excuses me.” I said ready to jump over his insanely huge desk, Alpha or not. Kent's gray eyes met my light brown ones. “Its an act of foreplay.” He gave me a small smile, “Foreplay With The Alpha.”
