That all changed when he became the top of dragon training, and finally gets the chance everyone thought he only dreamed of. To kill a dragon in front of the entire village. Stoick was proud of his son, he had almost lost hope in him. Now, he proved everyone wrong, or so they thought. Hiccup wanted nothing more than to have this chance his entire life! However, that was before he met and bonded with Toothless, a night fury he had shot down weeks ago. Now, he wanted to escape, but not without attempting to convince the vikings that dragons weren't the real threat. He thought his monstrous nightmare match would be the perfect setting for such a feat. When things go sideways, when Toothless saves Hiccup, he has a choice, stay and try one last shot of convincing Berk, or flee with his best friend. He chooses the best option, he flees. Now, he is branded as a trator, a renegade. Stoick practically disowns him and he is never heard from again. five years later, Berk hears mighty tales of a grand hero who rides a night fury. Many call him 'Night Rider', 'Dragon Tamer', and 'Mysterious Rider'. Many doubted that this hero could be their traitorous ex heir to the Berkian leadership. After all, he was described as having a prosthetic leg, very tall, confident, and extremely buffed, while Hiccup was the opposite of all these descriptions.
