Prologue

"After all of this, we'll settle down and have a family. That's all I want. That's all I want for my life, Piper" promised Jason. Those words were all the things Piper needed to survive. She used it as a motivation and everything. Whenever she's trapped, she will gain strength because she was always looking forward to that day. Percy and Annabeth was really sweet and all. For the millionth time, Piper felt a pang of jealousy. Why can't Jason be like them? She's a girl and it's normal for boys to make the move first but Piper was always the one who had to go up and say hi and hey. She knows Jason has a different personality than Percy but still...she wanted a gesture of affection from her boyfriend.
