Serenity lives in a constant state of terror. She's trapped in the ocean, one of hundreds of mermaids that are slaves to the Kraken. All of them are confused about how they got there and why they have no memories of life beyond their torment.

But when a human male comes to save Serenity and shows her that her mermaid curse is actually the source of her true power, she's on the run from the Kraken. The Kraken will break the world apart to recapture her, but she's just as determined to run away and embrace true love.
