Chapter 5: Fairies

Let's be real, high school isn't easy. Alex never had it all, she went from star athlete to shunned with a few sudden outbursts and a fight with the coach. She sees things that don't exist, often going on these incoherent rants about the monsters coming for her, leaving her mom to watch in agony as she watches her daughter's sanity dissolve like an hourglass. Alex's dad was never in the picture, and as for her mom? Does whatever to put food on the table, and has been bringing strange men home all Alex's life. She was miserable and wanted to end it all, so there she sat, on the cliff that overlooks the big town of Stonevalley. A whiskey bottle in one hand, suicide note in the other. She thought her life was over... until she met Valerie.
