kathryn wakefield was born into a poor family - her dad had died before she had gotten to know him and her mom had neither the funds or the willpower to look after her.

so, she grew up in a girls' home.

at age 8, however, she was sold into work and became a street-vendor, mainly selling flowers.

she sees a stray dog in the streets and decides to keep it, as her boss didn't care "as long as she was responsible for it". she called him juno.
