Carter Daniels is the new kid at Riverbank High. He chooses to sit next to Astrid Linnea who is one of the outcasts of the school when he enters class. Now, people actually notice that Astrid exists but, not in a good way. All Carter wants is for Astrid to realize that he isn't such a terrible person. Will Astrid set aside all of her thoughts and give him a chance?
