"I wouldn't go out with Toby Caldwell if he were that last boy on Earth."

Unfortunately, that may be the case. For Ashleigh, the last day of school was supposed to be a breeze before an already planned summer of bliss. However, Ashleigh's day is interrupted by a massive nuclear attack on the United States.

After the blast and trapped under a crumbled wall, Ashleigh must face the boy she swore she'd never date. It seems she no longer has any other choice.

Finding your place in the world is hard, especially now that Ashleigh doesn't even know if there's a world left to find.
