Prologue

I was adopted as a baby.

For the past sixteen years of my existence, I've been living a lie.

I didn't want to spend my summer trapped in the depths of Deregu Falls, but apparently the roots of my past were buried there.

I found myself trying to escape the present only to be thrust into a world I thought only existed in movies and faerytales.

Vampires exist.

Werewolves roam the terrain.

And appparently, so does my very own guardian angel.
