Chapter 1

After an extremely introverted and imaginative young girl, Carrie, attempts suicide, she gets stuck in the psych ward of a hospital. Carrie attempts to "do her time" quietly, however, her roommate, an eccentric girl suffering from DID insists on befriending her, Carrie is introduced to a group of 4 young girls, all of whom are suffering from terminal illnesses.

Carrie, having trouble dealing with the fact that the first friends she's ever met are all dying, falls into a fantasy world in her mind where she and her new friends are warriors and mages fighting the evil monsters Cancer and HIV and Lupus all while Carrie fights the hardest battle she's ever had to; escaping the trap of her own mind and finding the will to live.
