Superstition

"Please let me stay," Alex begged. "Please, Chloe."
Chloe stood shivering in the rain. "Fine," she croaked, at last, looking away. "You have two weeks to convince me that you're worth living with."

Chloe's been living with her completely platonic roommate Alex for a year now, and they've become good friends. But when Chloe finds out that Alex is a grim reaper, someone who collects souls as a job, she kicks him out, leaving him with no home and no friends. Alex begs her to let him stay, and with tears streaming down her face, she allows him two weeks- two weeks to convince her that he's worth living with.
