Prologue

It's burned into my mind. The sound of the alarm, the rushing of unfamiliar men, the shadows of the unknown. I looked back one last time before stepping in, the horizon stained with an everlasting smoke. My eyes burned, my throat was raw, I stepped in. The world around me began to fade, but a sudden crash brought me back to reality. This is the story of how one small accident changed my life forever. This is the story of how I would become who I am today. This is my story.
