Description
Karla Winters is simply an average teenage girl from Atlanta, Georgia. She moved with her brother to a rural area south of the city when her parents were killed in a car crash. Then, her brother joined the army. Money from the government kept the lights on and water running in the house. Karla was left all by herself in their two bedroom house. Was she scared? Not even a little bit. Karla has never been scared of anything. She's fallen and bruised herself up and broken a few bones, but anything beyond that? Nope. She's never been scared of dying. She's never feared drowning or getting into a car crash or anything like that. When her parents died, she was in the car, but someone pulled her out. Just like someone saved her from drowning in the lake when she was three. Just like someone caught her when she slipped off the balcony at a condo in Florida over the summer. Just like someone donated blood to give her a transfusion when she almost bled out after the car crash. She can't die. There's some sort of force that keeps her alive at all costs. That force has a name.
