Description
Fourteen-year-old Accalia Maxwell has always been curious. When she finds an elaborately carved wooden box in the sand, she can't resist opening it to see what treasures it could hold. Using the pendant contained in the box, she unlocks the knowledge of a world within our own, hidden from all those who could seek to destroy it. What Accalia doesn't know, however, is that the secrets she has uncovered where not meant for the eyes of humans. By opening the box, she has started a chain of events that lead to ancient Ocean Spirits awakening in accordance with a prophecy. And they want revenge on those who dwell above land, starting with the one who woke them. If Accalia wants to save her family, she must work together with some of the most wanted fugitives of the Deeper Land.
