Description
This story started with a writing prompt from "Writers Write" that says: "Look at somebody you know well. Imagine that you are seeing that person for the first time. What is the first feature you notice? Write about it in a short opening paragraph of a story." I had only one person in mind, someone who, in a few months, has become so special to me. He is, until now, a very special person. I admire him for who he is, and for what he means to me, in my secret world. This is why I chose the title 'La Douleur Exquise' a French phrase which means 'the heart-wrenching pain of wanting someone you can't have.' I hope you enjoy reading this story. Well, not really happily enjoy, but I hope you feel the emotions I've poured into this piece of work. ~G.
