Prologue

Even though she is smart and talented, there is one thing keeping Ember-Esmee from popularity; her weight. Being over-weight, she is humiliated and put down so often that she has taken it for granted. But, things are all bad with a friend like Omar Salinas. He's one of the hottest guys in school and the only running back for their High School football team. Since they are childhood friends, Ember-Esmee believes that is what Omar thinks of her even though her feeling go much deeper. But Omar has a secret of his own killing him inside.
