When Rosalind's father and brothers trespass on the Beast's property during a hunt, he captures and threatens to slaughter them for their crime. In order to save her family, Rosalind has to reason with him. For a month, she must reside in his dreary castle as his honored guest. In exchange for her companionship, the Beast will forgive her family's wrongdoing. Though she fears Lord Caspian and doesn't know what awaits her behind the castle walls, she agrees.

As time passes, Rosalind finds herself growing fonder of the abominable lord and the cold surrounding his land. The closer she gets to the secrets he keeps, especially of the mysterious stranger in the violin room, the more he awakens a darkness in her that threatens to destroy the person she once was, and all of Transylvania.

Rosalind won first place in PrettyInPunk's Paranormal Romance category and tied for third place in the Paranormal/Supernatural including Vampire/Werewolf category in the One Million Project challenge.
