Chapter 1 {CASSIA}

Cassia has lived in an abandoned hotel room for the majority of her life. She is apart of a group hidden from the sight of the Highers- controlling beings who rule over everyone and everything in the city which was once New York. But when she's separated from her friends and captured by those she despises most, will she find allegiance in the most unlikely of forms? When Cassia's enemy grows closer to her, she begins to forget everything she's ever been taught about the Highers. What will become of her? Will she survive the horrors of New America? And what will become of her friends?
