Description
Smoke had always feared that the day would come where Maxim would be lost to him, even if the russian was the more experienced between them. He just never thought it would happen so soon, not like this. Right in front of him. For all he knew, his team was dead, slaughtered by the men that assaulted their blacksite. Nobody would come for him. --------- Maxim had been so sure that he'd be able to protect James should the need arise. He was a predator, a man who preyed on his fellow species, someone who'd seen the darkside of the world and came through unscathed. Now James was gone, taken for whatever unknown reason.
