Jake was the new kid in town, and Miley knew him before they met. The two became friends and after hanging out together for a little over a month, Miley's family goes on a vacation. Miley refused to go, so she made a deal with Shawn and baylie. Miley got to stay in Minnesota, and live with Jake.
