Kintsukuroi- 'More beautiful for having been broken.' The Japanese art of repaired pottery. After having been broken, some would repair a ceramic bowl or vase by glueing together the pieces with gold or silver. The result is a more beautiful bowl with a more profound meaning. The proof of its fragility and its resilience is what gave it beauty.

She calls herself Kintsukuroi with a sense of pride, considering it a great moniker. After all, she was crushed, and then pieced back together.
After her life was shattered apart and she fell victim to the Port Mafia's evils, (y/n) (l/n) was left with arms and hips and ankles dotted with whitened scars, scratches, and burn marks. Constant reminders of her past weakness.
Six years worth of tattoos later, and both her body and mind have the wounds and the memories of why she inflicted him. She had picked up all of her broken pieces and put them back together with all the beauty they could find in this world. Eventually, she became a notorious street artist living contentedly in the slums of Yokohama. Her works were stunning and vivid, rebelling against the dull gray of the concrete jungle. She had convinced themselves that she was happy, carefree, and content.

And then a funny thing happened. A suicidal man from her past reentered her life and forced her life to begin a new chapter. And as (y/n) grew to know him, it became apparent that she hadn't fully recovered from her past, but strangely, felt as if this broken, hopeless man was healing wound she had never recognized.

And suddenly, (y/n) began to fall for the falling man.
