there was always a man sitting outside the scandanavian village. the being was muscular and pelt-covered. it would sit out during thunderstorms, watching as rain would be brought to the people. it sat through the night, bludgeoning trespassers with a hammer. overall, the being protected the village.

that did not prevent loki, a mischievous village boy, from antagonizing it.
