The EMP bomb emitted a pulse from a whine to a roar. Houses shook while the blast pierced everything, wood, plaster, and hands clasped over ears.
We knew our technology would take ages to build again. our ears too remained quiet.
A few were better off. Their hands flew with crystal clarity, and their eyes understood. The deaf. Until they tried to bind their hands, again.
