#1: Prelude

He was torn. He had responsibilities and promises to think of. Responsibilities he couldn't shirk, and promises he couldn't break, because he wasn't that kind of man. But now faced with the most heart-breaking of decisions he has had to make, he doesn't know if he did it right. How is it that one decision could change the lives of 3 people, perhaps forever?
