A Victorian Story. Maud Cinius is a foundling girl born out of wedlock, who is really proud that she shall be a servant of a rich person when she reaches the age of fourteen. But when she realises that her mother has tried to come to claim her back from the hospital, will she decide to stay to dream her small, disappointing dream, or live a life with her mother who gave her up when she was born?
