Chapter 1

Five years after most of the dragons were massacred and the rest banished from the Kingdom of Madiria they return, and they're not alone.

To protect his kingdom from imminent war, Tarkan, the Crown Prince must go on a quest to retrieve a scale from the legendary First Dragon in a neighboring kingdom.

Kristoph, an apprentice mage and the Prince's closest friend, is forced into leading him to a young girl named Cassidy, the last remaining dragon in the kingdom trapped behind the weakening barrier and the only one who could take them to find the First Dragon. But will she help a save a King who ordered her people, her family, killed? Or will she side with the others of her kind?
