I glance down at the clock. 10:50. Ten minutes to make it to my piano lesson. I open a stick of gum and chew it for a second, glancing back down at the clock. 10:52. We will be eight minutes late. I fidget with my seat belt a bit, then glance back down. 10:50. Oh, okay. WAIT! IT WAS JUST 10:52!

I swear I see a dear leap across the road, moving so fast it is just a blur. In the middle of summer? I look nervously back down at the clock. 10:49. Oh, my God, I'm going insane!

And that was just before my life changed.
