In the ruins of North America- Yeah, I'm not doing this. Fourteen year-old Pearl Albacore has lived in District 4 all of her life. After her life seems to be ruined by The Hunger Games, where twenty four children ages 12-18 fight to the death for the enjoyment of the Capitol, she has to tell lies and turn herself into a completely different person to get back home to her best friend, who might just kill some people if she doesn't.
