Description
Tyler was just a young boy and he loved the water, just loved the ocean itself. He always takes his canoe out just to see if he can meet up with the dolphins that pass the beach. On day the canoe tips and Tyler falls into the ocean, his eyes start burning and his clothes begin dragging him down. He doesn't remember much but next thing he knows he's back on land. Another boy was with him. He seemed to be the same age except he had scales along his cheek and the sides of forehead and neck. The boy doesn't say much, just kisses Tyler on the head and then he closes his eyes, face heating up and a smile forming. When he opens them the boy is gone and a group of dolphins swim off in the distance. In his hand was a light blue scale, Years pass and Tyler can't keep his mind off the boy. Craig, everyone called him mini because he was the smallest born of the King and Queen, was never meant to go to the surface. Being prince he needed to be carful of humans, even if they thought of him as a sacred being they'd do anything for money. But the thing is. Merfolk only ever fall in true love once. They call it the zing. Its rare to find your zing, but once it's found the merperson is unable to leave there other half alone. It's the same for humans but not as strong. Craig couldn't help it, he loved swimming with the Dolphins near the surface. He's seen the human paddle out and thanks to his tail was easily hidden with the Dolphins. He had to do something when the human tipped over. He saved the human. He zinged when the human looked him in the eyes. He panicked once it happened. He could be the laughing stock of his home. He gave the boy a kiss on the forehead, before giving him one of his scales and left. Something happens and the boy moves away, leaving Craig alone and feeling like crap. Minicat
