When Bailey Pierce is accused of murdering her father she becomes lost in her life. With only her 6 year old autistic sister by her side she is torn between the lies of her stepmother, Bridget, and the true story she is telling. Bailey is sure Bridget is behind the murder, but she doesn't know why. With both parents now dead Bailey is separated from her young sister Natalie and is sent to a boarding school for delinquents miles away, breaking her promise to her mom. Bailey will do anything to figure out why Bridget did this, why she blamed her, and what will become of she and Natalie. While at school Bailey meets some new friends, some that may help her out, and others that may just break her.
