Seventeen year old Rosalyn Parker learns how life can change in the blink of an eye. After her older brother, Sam's unfortunate death, she experiences depression. Completely broken, she moves in with her mother and tries to move on over the summer. Life takes a turn and everything changes right after the summer break. Most of these turns lead her to meeting new people, learning new lessons and experiencing real happiness after a year.

Now the biggest question is: how long will this dream last?
