Description
Ellison Kefalas is the sole heir to the Kefalas Media & News business. He is also New York's number 1 playboy, and has never been in a committed relationship before. His father wants to pass the business down to him, but fears that Ellison doesn't take it seriously, and won't produce an heir for their families empire. As a result, Antonio (Ellison's father) arranges for him to marry Laurene District. Laurene is forced into the marriage by her father, who does not believe she is old enough or skilled enough to have his business - District Real Estate Incorporated. He makes Laurene get married to tie the businesses together, and earn more money with joint profits. If Laurene does not accept the marriage then the business and fortune will be given to her irresponsible younger brother. On top of it all, someone is out to get Laurene and Ellison, trying to make sure that they don't fall in love and get married, so that they get the Kefalas fortune for themselves.
