We all know the story of Damon and Stefan Salvatore-the once inseparable pair of brothers who just so happened to bear a secret, dangerous curse.

But what if everything we knew had been a simpler, less complicated version of the real story? What if things had been removed from the story, simply because it was too painful for the brother's to be reminded of?
