Part 1: Introduction

In this series of nine talks, we contemplate the Beatitudes from the perspective of Indian spirituality. We also link each beatitude to current day events and how the virtues can be practiced in our daily lives of work and family. The first talk is an introduction, setting Christ's teaching of the Beatitudes in the context of desert spirituality, and then each of the remaining eight talks looks at each one of the virtues, such as mercy and peacemaking.
