Two weeks have passed since The Bolt's attack on New Haven. The gang tries to look forward to winter break despite their missing friend, until Lena receives a message in regards to Jace's whereabouts.

Finding out he's held captive by a dangerous, organized mercenary guild populated solely by ice Gifted, with Ryū's help they set out to bring him home. Discoveries are made, as well as allies while in the town of Nagahama, Japan. No matter what, Lena and the others are determined to save Jace and bring him home. However, they may have bitten off more than they can chew...
