Harley Swan, the seventeen year old emancipated neice of Charlie Swan, has lived in Tampa, Florida her entire life. Her dad was far to loyal to a flighty woman who left him with a broken teenager. wishing only for her happiness he allows her to move in with her 22 year old boyfriend at only 16 years old. In a matter of a year she is broken down and flees Tampa to forks where she finds what she was looking for.
