"And like a snake, whispers of wind curled around his neck, 'Turn to me child' it seemed to hum, a lingering tone of promise in its voice, 'You will have everything you could ever want' 'All that I want I own, what makes you think you have something I desire? I am the hero.' The boy spoke cockily, but he was only that, a boy, a mere child. The whirls of wind swirled together, slinking around the child's body like string. 'Heroism will only get you so far, I can grant your power beyond your very comprehension.' This peaked the boys interest, and a smirk curled up on his face. '..go on.' " ((This is actually a book I'm writing for my dad (and maybe actually publishing one day) so I'm not expecting it to get a lot of attention, but feel free to read and critique the fuck out of it so I can improve!))
