When Astrid Hofferson turns 18 years and a half, she receives powers that can only be taken by a Hofferson. But, knowing she cannot tell anyone to protect her tribe, Astrid must go back to Skrill Island and get a necklace that will prevent her from turning into a Mermaid whenever a drop of water touches her.

But, Hiccup thinking she's in trouble follows her and discovers her secret. Hiccup becomes very overprotective with Astrid to help her. What will happen when their enemies find out? Can Astrid keep her secret a secret again?
