Prologue

Veronica Marie Thrasher is determined to start anew. Leaving everything and everyone in her past behind, she finds herself utterly alone in the concrete jungle of New York City. That is until a fateful door to the face shakes up her world. The man behind the door is every bit as sexy as he is mysterious, though Veronica finds herself resisting his advances. She much prefers the company of Tom, the simple, good-ol'-boy cabby. But even Tom is not without his own closet of skeletons. The secrets these three try so desperately hard to hide will ultimately push them into the dreaded "love triangle."
