While it was so easy to stay in his apartment, with his rats, Kayden Rosé had to continue the useless and boring work he was told to do.

He couldn't help that humans were inferior to his little furry friends. He just simply preferred their presence over humans.

Which is aptly how he got the nickname "Rat boy" in highschool, and it just never seemed to go away.

Sure almost no one at work knew about his rats, otherwise it would be highschool all over again.

Well that is until the new guy in Kayden's office space showed up, and flashbacks from Hell are all that Kayden can remember.
